About the Role:
Support learners with SEN and SEMH needs through personalised tuition in areas such as English, Maths and Science, helping them build knowledge, confidence and positive learning habits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored tuition in English, Maths and/or Science.
- Adapt your teaching style to meet each learner's individual needs.
- Support learners to overcome barriers to education and achieve their goals.
- Keep accurate progress records and liaise with parents/guardians, schools or learners where appropriate.
- Follow Tuition Extra's safeguarding policies at all times.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong knowledge and confidence in English, Maths and/or Science.
- Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
- Teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work or support work experience valued.
- SEN training or experience.
Job Type: Part-time, self-employed, weekdays only, term time.

- Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check – we can arrange this, or you can provide your own for verification.
- Provide satisfactory references and complete safeguarding training.
- Attend an online or face-to-face interview and provide proof of ID and right to work in the UK.
