Children’s Registered Manager
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester
Salary: Up to £65,000 + bonuses
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Monday–Friday + on-call duties)
About the Role
Are you an experienced leader looking to steer a high-quality residential service? We are seeking a dedicated Children’s Registered Manager to head up our Ofsted-regulated children’s home in Manchester.
Working closely with the Responsible Individual (RI) and Senior Management Team (SMT), you will hold Ofsted registration, lead an established staff team, and ensure the highest standards of care for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
Key Responsibilities
- Ofsted Registration: Hold and maintain Ofsted registration, ensuring the service consistently meets or exceeds compliance and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, manage, and mentor a full residential team, including Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, and Support Workers.
- Care Delivery: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, providing expert guidance on supporting young people with EBD.
- Quality Assurance: Drive continuous service improvement, lead quality assurance activities, and manage the home's budget.
- Collaboration: Partner with HR for team development and work alongside the RI to maintain excellent operational standards.
What We Need From You
- Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Experience: Proven experience as a Deputy or Registered Manager within a children's residential setting.
