Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the overall warehouse functions, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members and departments to meet operational goals. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilties:
- Receiving and Processing Shipments: Unload, inspect, and accurately record incoming goods. Ensure all items are correctly labelled and stored.
- Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack orders for dispatch, ensuring all items are correctly labelled and packaged to prevent damage during transit.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory control. Report any discrepancies or issues
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring all items are handled with care.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards. Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary).
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and processing orders.
- Reliable, Punctual and dependable.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and independently.
