Auto Electrician – Commercial Vehicles

Our client, a leading commercial vehicle service and repair provider, is recruiting an experienced Auto Electrician to join their busy workshop team. This is a great opportunity to work in a professional environment supporting the maintenance and repair of trucks and vans.
The Role
You will be responsible for electrical diagnostics, fault finding and repairs on commercial vehicles, including:
- Electrical diagnostics and fault finding on trucks and vans
- Repairs to lighting systems, wiring, batteries, alternators and starters
- Using diagnostic equipment and test tools to identify faults
- Completing job cards and service documentation accurately
- Working closely with technicians, service advisors and workshop control
- Ensuring work meets health & safety and manufacturer standards
- Supporting vehicle uptime in a fast-paced workshop
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician (cars, vans or HGVs)
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in electrical maintenance
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with commercial vehicles preferred
- Confident using diagnostic systems
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Team player with good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence required
