The Thrive Hive Tutoring is a growing online tutoring company providing high-quality, one-to-one
tuition to students across the UK. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding teaching that builds
confidence, inspires learning and helps every student achieve their full potential.
We are currently seeking qualified Maths and Science teachers to join our expanding team of self-
employed tutors.
Applications will only be considered from teachers who are currently based in the UK and hold a
recognised UK teaching qualification.
About the Role
You will deliver engaging, personalised online tuition to students from Key Stage 2 through to GCSE,
with opportunities to teach A Level where appropriate.
Many of our students have additional learning needs, including dyslexia, ADHD and autism. We are
therefore looking for teachers who are patient, adaptable and committed to delivering exceptional,
individualised teaching.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
Be currently based in the United Kingdom.
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
Have recent experience teaching Maths or Science within the UK education system.
Hold a current Enhanced DBS Certificate (DBS Update Service registration is desirable).
Have clear and fluent spoken English, as all lessons are delivered online to students across the
UK.
Demonstrate excellent written communication skills.
Have a thorough knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
Be confident using online teaching platforms and technology.
Have access to a reliable computer, webcam and high-speed internet connection.
Be self-employed or willing to register as self-employed before commencing work.
