About the Role
This is a varied administrative, IT and digital marketing role within a growing education and training environment. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day administration of the college while also assisting with IT systems, website management, digital marketing, content creation, communications, and student support services.
The role would suit a proactive, organised and creative individual who is confident using technology and enjoys working across different areas of a business. You will have the opportunity to develop practical experience across administration, IT and digital marketing, with training and support provided where required.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
Provide front-desk support, including answering telephone calls, greeting visitors, and responding to student and staff enquiries.
Manage the college inbox and ensure timely and professional responses to correspondence.
Maintain accurate student and staff records, registers, databases, and documentation.
Support the Principal and senior management team with diary management, scheduling, and meeting preparation.
Prepare letters, reports, presentations, internal communications, and other administrative documents.
Assist with minute-taking, agenda preparation, and action tracking for meetings.
Support student admissions, enrolment, onboarding, and learner record management.
Liaise with awarding bodies, local authorities, employers, recruitment agencies, and external partners.
Assist with organising open days, workshops, marketing events, and college activities.
Handle confidential information in accordance with GDPR and college policies.
Provide general office support, including filing, photocopying, scanning, printing, and data entry.
IT Support Responsibilities
Work closely with the Senior IT Administrator to support college IT operations.
Provide first-line technical support to staff and students for hardware, software, and user account issues.
Assist with maintaining internal systems, databases, and online platforms.
Set up and configure computers, laptops, printers, user accounts, and access permissions.
Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
Support the maintenance of classroom technology, including projectors, smartboards, and audio-visual equipment.
Escalate complex technical issues to external IT support providers where necessary.
Assist in maintaining IT equipment inventories and ensuring systems remain operational.
Digital Marketing & Website Support
Assist with maintaining and updating the college website and digital platforms.
Create engaging content for social media, websites, blogs, newsletters, email campaigns, and student recruitment activities.
Design promotional materials including flyers, posters, banners, social media graphics, and digital advertisements.
Support the planning and delivery of digital marketing campaigns promoting courses, admissions, events, workshops, and college activities.
Assist with managing social media channels, including content creation, scheduling, engagement, and audience growth.
Support email marketing campaigns and student recruitment initiatives through professional and engaging communications.
Assist with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), keyword research, website improvements, and content optimisation.
Support Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns, including Google Ads and social media advertising, with training provided where required.
Monitor website and campaign performance using Google Analytics and other digital tools.
Create and edit graphics, videos, banners, promotional materials, and other multimedia content using tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe or similar platforms.
Identify new digital marketing trends, technologies, platforms, and opportunities to improve student engagement and recruitment.
Monitor and analyse campaign performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Assist with content marketing, link-building strategies, social media growth, and online brand development.
Fix minor website content issues, formatting errors, and broken links.
Support the development of online promotional campaigns and digital communications.
Maintain consistent branding across the college’s digital channels and promotional materials.

Desirable Technical Skills
Training can be provided; however, experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
Website content management systems (WordPress or similar).
SEO and Google Analytics.
Google Ads and social media advertising.
Basic HTML, CSS, or JavaScript knowledge.
Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar design/editing software.
Social media management and content scheduling tools.
CRM systems and education management databases.
Video editing, graphic design, and content creation.
Email marketing platforms and digital campaign tools.
Qualifications
Essential
Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Media, Digital Marketing, or a related subject (or equivalent qualification).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and online systems.
Desirable
Level 3 qualification or above in IT, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, Media, or a related field.
GCSE, A-Level, AS-Level, or Level 2 qualification in Media Studies, Digital Marketing, or a related subject.
12–24 months' experience in administration, IT support, digital marketing, or a similar role.
Experience working within an education or training environment.
Additional Requirements
Enhanced DBS check required.
