Housing Disrepair Fee Earner (Pre-Litigation)
Liberay Legal is growing its housing disrepair and litigation team, and we are looking for a Pre-Litigation Fee Earner to join us. We act for tenants, and this role runs housing disrepair claims from the point of instruction up to the issuing of court proceedings.
The role is based at our Bolton head office, with hybrid and flexible working available, so we welcome applicants from across the North West.
What you will do:
- Manage your own caseload of housing disrepair files from instruction through to settlement or issue.
- Draft and send letters of claim under the pre action protocol.
- Instruct surveyors, review expert reports and value claims.
- Make and negotiate settlement offers, including Part 36 offers.
- Keep case management records accurate and progress files to target.
What we are looking for:
- Experience running housing disrepair files, ideally 12 months or more, gained in either a pre litigation or a litigation team.
- Confidence managing a busy caseload to deadlines and targets.
- Strong client care and clear written communication.
- Familiarity with case management systems (Proclaim is an advantage).
