Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Big Data Developer with strong experience in SQL and Python and Hadoop.
You will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and distributed data systems in a fast-paced environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in software development and data engineering, especially within large-scale data environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Big Data applications using SQL, Scala, Hadoop & Python.
- Strong SQL programming skills
- Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Build, optimize, and manage ETL pipelines and data workflows
- Work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
Required Skills
- 2–4 years of experience as a Hadoop Developer/ Big Data Developer / Data Engineer / Software Engineer
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Scala, Java, or Python
- Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
Candidates from Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering backgrounds may be considered with 3 year relevant experience.
Additional Requirements
- Must be based in the UK with valid work authorization
- Willingness to travel within the UK required
Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods are highly preferred.
