Summary
Key Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities:
· To undertake minor items of repair and maintenance to properties for the benefit and safety of staff, tenants, visitors, and contractors.
· Responsible for undertaking delegated tasks relating to planned preventative maintenance on site, including but not limited to proactive and reactive work.
· To assist with minor plumbing including unblocking sinks and drains etc.
· To deal with minor repairs where necessary as instructed by the Line Manager.
· To deal with minor electrical repairs and fixings.
· Undertake redecorations/painting where and how specified.
· Assist with repairs and/or replacement or movement of equipment and furniture.
· Regularly check both internal and external areas for any potential danger to people on site.
· Assist with grounds maintenance/gardening and landscaping, including but not limited to litter picks, sweeping of hard surfaces, emptying of litter bins and attending to planters and dealing with dead leaves.
· Assist with deliveries and general portage duties as required.
· Cleaning duties as and when required of the apartments and office spaces.
· Assist in moving inventory in warehouses and other locations.
· Report or advise on defects noticed whilst working on a project.
· Ensuring the efficiency of the work carried out along with the arrival of new innovative methods.
· Report regularly on progress.
· Full driving licence would be an advantage.
Key Skills/Competencies:
· Must be competent at basic building repairs, maintenance, and redecoration, including electrical and plumbing work.
· Confident in the use of small industrial/electrical/mechanical equipment.
· Have a knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety procedures and precautions and an awareness of health and hygiene.
· Literacy and numeracy skills are required to be sufficient to use Podio, report on work, check delivery notes, and undertake measurements. Able to carry/lift/handle items throughout the day.
: The post holder will be expected to undertake bending, lifting, and stretching in the course of their duties including the use of ladders for height access. e.g., minor maintenance work, remedial painting and decorating, repairs to fixing, receiving deliveries of goods and equipment, setting out and moving furniture and fixtures and fittings. Due to the nature of the post, there will be an expectation that the post holder will be exposed to dirt and dust which on occasions, for example adverse weather conditions, may be higher than normal. The post holder will also be required to work through all weather conditions to fulfil the role.
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
