Wedding Venue ManagerRole Summary
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive, and customer-focused Wedding Venue Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy wedding and events venue.
This is a hands-on management role that combines venue operations, event coordination, team leadership, and client relationship management. You will play a key role in ensuring every wedding and event is delivered seamlessly, maintaining exceptional standards of service while creating memorable experiences for our clients and their guests.
Initially, this will be a shared management role, where you will work alongside an existing manager to oversee the daily operations of the venue, ensuring the highest standards are consistently maintained.
Key ResponsibilitiesVenue Operations
- Oversee the daily running of the venue, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Ensure the venue is clean, well-presented, and event-ready at all times.
- Manage opening and closing procedures.
- Carry out regular venue inspections and report any maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all equipment and facilities are safe, operational, and maintained to a high standard.
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures.
Wedding & Event Management
- Coordinate weddings and events from planning through to completion.
- Conduct planning meetings with clients to finalise event details.
- Prepare event schedules, timelines, and operational plans.
- Coordinate suppliers and ensure all deliveries and set-ups are completed on schedule.
- Oversee event setup, delivery, and breakdown.
- Resolve any issues quickly and professionally to ensure a seamless client experience.
Client Relations
- Conduct venue viewings for prospective clients.
- Respond to enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Build strong relationships with couples and clients throughout their planning journey.
- Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after every event.
- Ensure every client receives a personalised and memorable experience.
Team Management
- Assist with recruiting, training, and supporting venue staff.
- Prepare staff rotas and allocate responsibilities.
- Supervise staff during events to ensure high standards of service.
- Provide ongoing coaching, support, and performance feedback.
- Foster a positive and professional working environment.
Supplier Management
- Liaise with caterers, florists, photographers, decorators, DJs, entertainers, and other suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trusted suppliers.
- Ensure all suppliers comply with venue policies and event schedules.
Sales & Business Development
- Conduct venue viewings and assist with securing new bookings.
- Prepare quotations, contracts, and booking documentation.
- Follow up on enquiries and maintain excellent client communication.
- Identify opportunities to upsell venue packages and additional services.
- Support the achievement of venue sales and booking targets.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Monitor event budgets and operational costs.
- Track deposits, balances, and final payments.
- Approve supplier invoices where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, contracts, and client communications.
- Assist with operational and financial reporting.
Health & Safety
- Ensure the venue complies with all relevant health and safety legislation.
- Conduct routine risk assessments.
- Ensure emergency procedures and licensing requirements are adhered to.
- Promote a safe environment for clients, guests, suppliers, and staff.
Marketing & Social Media
- Assist in styling and preparing the venue for promotional photography and social media content.
- Capture and share high-quality content showcasing weddings and events.
- Encourage client reviews and testimonials to support the venue's reputation.
- Work with the team to promote the venue across social media platforms and marketing campaigns.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for weddings, hospitality, and event management. You will be joining a growing team and, initially, will work alongside another Venue Manager, sharing responsibility for the day-to-day management of the venue. As the business continues to grow, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility and develop within the role.
