Immediate Start – Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant – Guildford, Surrey
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or Support Worker with a passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning?
The Supply Room is working with a specialist school in Guildford, Surrey to recruit dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants for immediate starts. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, autism and ADHD in a structured and rewarding educational environment.
You will work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to provide consistent support, helping pupils regulate their emotions, engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, autism or ADHD
- Experience in education, youth work, care, mentoring or similar settings
- Confident managing behaviour and building positive relationships
- Calm, resilient and consistent approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Full-time availability
Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £92 – £105 per day (depending on experience)
These are full-time, long-term opportunities with immediate starts available. The school is looking to interview and trial suitable candidates ASAP!
