(Machine) Operator
Job Overview
Here at Graham’s the Family Dairy, we produce an award-winning home-grown range of the highest quality food and drink. An opportunity has arisen for an Operator to join our team at our site in Nairn. This is a permanent position working 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7. Shift patterns typically run 6:00am to 3:30pm and 10:00am to 7:30pm.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate various machinery effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Running filler machine for milk, yoghurt or kefir lines
- Maintain product quality and hygiene standards
- Visually checking packed product for non-compliances
- Ensuring finished product is moved directly to chill
- Advise management of any machine faults or non-conformances
- Good housekeeping at all times
- Responsible for line efficiency and your line team
- Compliance and good record keeping
- Assist Technical in maintaining BRC standards
Skills and Experience
- Previous Production experience preferable
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate preferable
- Practical and comfortable with machinery
- Manual Handling
- Ability to work on own initiative
Previous dairy and processing experience would be advantageous; however full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
