Salary: £46,406 pa to c.£54,595 pa depending on skills and experience.

As a Reporting & Analysis Manager at HS2 you will have a key role in establishing, automating, delivering and integrating programme and corporate reporting to enable effective, data driven decision making across the programme.
About the role:
We are recruiting two Reporting & Analysis Managers to join our team. Whilst both roles share the same core responsibilities and accountabilities, we expect successful candidates to bring complementary strengths. One role is likely to have a greater focus on programme reporting delivery, stakeholder engagement and executive-level reporting, whilst the second role is likely to have a stronger focus on reporting governance, data analytics, automation and development of reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the definition and formatting standards for key reporting, and assuring the quality and integrity of all Programme and Functional reports as they are submitted and ensuring there is a consistent approach to data capture and analysis.
- Leading the aggregation of programme reporting and data to develop a comprehensive view of programme performance against baseline and forecast (incl. Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis) across Phase One, Phase Two, Corporate functions (Infrastructure Directorate, Land & Property).
- Leading the development and analysis of programme reporting and data, identifying key trends, issues, insights and common themes, communicating these clearly and concisely.
- Ensuring a robust reporting process is deployed consistently and complied with across the organisation.
- To have responsibility for ensuring the Projects and Programmes provide necessary information per the required timeframes to enable effective decision making.
- Leading and maintaining alignment of reports with the evolving client and business needs, proposing changes to the development and delivery areas as required and developing innovative solutions to automate and simplify reporting.
- Developing and maintain relationships across delivery teams, supporting the production of project programme level periodic reporting

About You:
Skills:
- Ability to collect, integrate, analyse and report on qualitative and quantitative data.
- Ability to assimilate large volumes of information, identifying key issues and presenting them in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to drive reporting improvements, governance and consistency across complex programmes and organisations.
- Proficient in relevant reporting and analytical tools, including Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Reporting and Analysis in a large project/programme.
- Knowledge of Project Controls and Reporting systems in order to build regular reports and undertake trend analysis.
Type of experience:
- Experience in reporting and analysis in large complex programmes.
- Experience of large infrastructure or delivery programmes.
- Experience of managing stakeholders at all levels of a large organisation
Additional Experience Sought Across the Two Appointments
- For one role, we're particularly interested in candidates with experience leading programme or corporate reporting across multidisciplinary teams, including stakeholder management, team leadership, reporting governance and process improvement. Experience in Project Controls, rail/infrastructure environments and Power BI is desirable.
OR
- For the second role, we're particularly interested in candidates with experience in technical reporting, reporting transformation and process management, with strong Power BI capability essential and Microsoft Fabric experience desirable. A background in Project Management, PMO or Project Controls would be beneficial.
