Xpress Maintenance & Locks Ltd is looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Electrician to join our expanding team. We carry out a wide range of electrical works across domestic and commercial properties, including reactive maintenance, planned works, EICRs, remedial works, installations and fault finding.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service while working both independently and as part of a professional team.
Essential Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- The right to work in the UK
Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installations, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently.
- Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
- Undertake inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.
- Carry out remedial works following inspections.
- Install consumer units, lighting, power circuits and other electrical systems.
- Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 and current Building Regulations.
- Complete digital job reports, certificates and photographs using our field service software.
- Communicate professionally with customers, tenants and clients.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment in good condition.
- Work safely at all times, following company procedures and health & safety legislation.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have proven experience working as a qualified electrician.
- Be confident carrying out inspection, testing and fault finding.
- Have excellent knowledge of current electrical regulations.
- Be able to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Be well presented with excellent customer service skills.
- Be reliable, punctual and take pride in producing high-quality work.
- Be confident using smartphones and digital job management systems.
Desirable (Not Essential)
- ECS Gold Card
- Experience within domestic and commercial environments
- Experience carrying out EICRs for landlords and commercial properties
- Emergency lighting and fire alarm experience
- IPAF or PASMA
- EV Charger installation experience
- Solar PV and Battery Storage experience
