Floor Layer / Floor Fitter – Prison & MOJ Projects

About the Role
Sanper Construction Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Floor Layer/Floor Fitter to join our growing team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, wants stability, and is looking to grow with an expanding company delivering works across Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and prison projects throughout London and the surrounding areas.
We are looking for someone dependable, self-motivated and capable of working independently who is willing to go the extra mile to deliver high-quality work and maintain strong relationships on site. The successful applicant will be comfortable working within secure prison environments and travelling daily to various sites across London and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of:
- Safety flooring
- Flat lay vinyl
- Cap and cove flooring
- Carpet tiles
- Hot and cold weld flooring systems
- Deliver flooring works to a consistently high standard
- Complete works within agreed project schedules
- Work independently and manage workload effectively
- Identify and communicate variations or additional works
- Maintain a professional attitude with clients, site staff and prison personnel
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with prison/security procedures

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ flooring experience
- Experience fitting commercial flooring systems
- Previous MOJ/prison experience preferred
- Ability to pass strict HMP/MOJ security vetting
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience using hot and cold welding equipment
- Good understanding of safety flooring and cap & cove installations
- Fluent English communication skills
- Ability to travel daily across London and surrounding areas
- SSSTS / SMSTS preferred but not necessary
- References required
