Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative full time Florist Shop Manager to lead our team ideally with 3- 5 years of floristry experience. The ideal candidate will not only need to have a flair for design & wide understanding of floral arrangements coupled with excellent customer service skills and the ability to management and leadership skills.
As a manager, you will be responsible ensuring that the shop is well-organised, stocked and inviting, leading and supporting our team of florists in our busy store, as well as being a hands-on leading florist.
Designer Flowers by Rodgers is a well-established business developed into a multiple full-service retail florist. Over the years, we have achieved the ability to provide floral designs truly for any occasion from small bunches, for the home, large events such as weddings, funerals and corporate events.
We are looking to fill this post with someone who will continue to focus on providing the best possible experience for our customers, creating individual hand tied bouquets, seasonal displays, events & corporate orders, whilst building the business and encouraging the growth of the store.
The role requires a confident and versatile florist with proven experience across our full range of Interflora, online orders, retail, corporate, bespoke event floristry and installations.
This is a full time role, working a 2 weekly recurring rotating rota: 6 / 4 days which includes working every other Saturday, ensuring our 6 day week store opening is maintained.
Outline of duties & responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Daily running of store, Team leadership and stock management
- Proficiency in managing all store activities; incoming orders; stock levels; scheduling orders & events and staff utilisation
- Ensuring that the store is operating at its best and optimising resources and facilities
- Motivate, inspire and other team florists - helping them grow their skills and confidence.
Essentials / Experience
- Minimum 5 years proven experience as a florist with a strong portfolio of floral designs.
- Administrative experience relevant to Interflora & online orders, stock control, staff scheduling is desirable.
- Excellent communication & organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Outstanding customer service experience
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literate: confident with Microsoft Office, managing online orders, internal & external emails, ‘EPOS Now’ till system, customer orders & queries, and other business online platforms.

Pay: £27,500.00-£31,000.00 per year
