Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile HGV Driver/Scaffolder to join our energetic team! This role combines the essential skills of commercial driving with scaffolding responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects that keep our operations moving smoothly. As an HGV Driver/Scaffolder, you will be responsible for safely transporting materials to various sites while also assisting with scaffolding setup and dismantling. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will ensure efficient deliveries and secure scaffolding installations, contributing directly to project success and client satisfaction.
Duties
- Operate flatbed HGVs confidently, ensuring safe transportation of scaffolding materials and equipment to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, verifying shipment accuracy and securing loads properly for transit.
- Assist with scaffolding assembly, disassembly, and safety checks on-site, following all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with legal standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery schedules, and site documentation to support smooth operations.
- Collaborate with site teams to coordinate timely deliveries and scaffold setups, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing work.
- Adhere strictly to driving regulations, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV license, preferably with flatbed experience.
- Demonstrated ability in scaffolding work or related construction activities is highly desirable.
- Prior delivery driver experience involving the transportation of large or fragile loads.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to both driving and scaffolding operations.
- Familiarity with route planning, load securing techniques, and vehicle maintenance routines.
