Overview
Join our dynamic team as an HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver and take on an exciting role that combines skilled driving with hands-on delivery responsibilities. In this position, you will operate a Class 2 heavy goods vehicle equipped with a tipper mechanism, transporting materials efficiently and safely to various sites. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 heavy goods vehicle with tipping capabilities across designated routes and sites
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations
- Load, secure, and deliver materials accurately according to schedule, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Assist with the operation of flatbed or other specialized equipment as required for specific deliveries
- Maintain detailed delivery logs, driver’s daily reports, and vehicle inspection records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Uphold all health and safety standards during driving, loading, unloading, and on-site activities
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with HGV Class 2 vehicles or similar heavy goods vehicles
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations, tachograph rules, and transportation compliance
- Delivery driver experience with a focus on timely and accurate deliveries
- Knowledge of flatbed operations or other specialized load handling is a plus
- Excellent driving skills combined with a responsible attitude toward safety and customer service
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading materials when necessary
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
