Personal Assistant – Job Reference 5626
Location: Darlington
Hours: 17.5 hours per week, Monday–Saturday mornings
Pay: £13 per hour
About the Role
A gentleman in Darlington is looking for a reliable, caring and patient Personal Assistant to support him with everyday household tasks, personal care and managing his physical health needs.
He enjoys getting out and about in the community. Due to reduced mobility, he uses a power chair, so the role will also involve supporting him when out in the community and attending medical appointments.
Duties Include
- Supporting with some personal hygiene and dressing.
- Helping to manage a skin condition, including washing, changing dressings and applying prescribed creams.
- Helping with household tasks and laundry.
- Supporting the gentleman when going out in the community.
- Accompanying him to medical appointments when required.
- Providing friendly, respectful and person-centred support.
About You
The ideal applicant will be:
- Patient, caring and understanding.
- Honest and reliable.
- Respectful of privacy, dignity and independence.
- Comfortable providing personal care and practical support.
- A non-smoker is preferred.
Previous experience is helpful but not essential, as any required training will be arranged with the employer.
Hours & Pay
17.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday mornings.
Exact working times will be discussed and agreed with the employer.
£13 per hour

Successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide suitable references.
All necessary training will be arranged with the employer.
