BDD Pharma operates a purpose built Pharmaceutical manufacturing facility at Biocity Glasgow, delivering small batch clinical trial supplies and matched placebo for early phase clinical studies. We are seeking a GMP Manufacturing Operator to join our Production team, carrying out hands on manufacturing activities for non-sterile oral dosage forms in a GMP regulated environment.
The successful candidate will be highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position (37.5 hours a week) for an initial period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension depending on project requirements. Hours are generally standard business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm); however, project-specific shift work may be required to meet client and operational needs. Although experienced applicants are welcome, no previous experience in GMP manufacturing is necessary as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and order GMP supplies, co-ordinate ID testing and maintain supply stocks
- Preparing and cleaning processing areas and equipment to GMP standards
- Supporting equipment set up and routine maintenance
- Carrying our manufacturing operations (e.g. blending, encapsulation, tablet coating, packaging) in line with approved batch records
- Accurately completing batch documentation
- Highlighting deviations or quality issues promptly to the Production and QA teams
- Working according to GMP, Health and Safety, and environmental requirements
Skills, Education and Experience
- Degree in life science or related discipline
- Comfortable following detailed written procedures with precision
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a small team.
- A willingness to learn about clinical supplies manufacturing and the CDMO environment.
