E-Commerce Operations Assistant Quantum AV | Asenby & Colburn, North Yorkshire Full-time | Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (37.5 hours)
About Quantum AV We've been selling HiFi and Home Cinema gear since 2007. After nearly twenty years in North Wales we've moved up to North Yorkshire, and we're now running things from a warehouse in Asenby. A new showroom in Colburn opens later this year.
The Role It's a mix of e-commerce, warehouse work, and (once the showroom is open) selling to customers face to face. You'll be answering enquiries, keeping the website up to date, getting orders out the door, and pitching in wherever the day takes you.
We're a small team, so you'll do a bit of everything to start with. As we grow there'll be a chance to focus on whatever you're best at, whether that's e-commerce, sales, or running the warehouse.
What you'll be doing
- Answering phone and email enquiries
- Selling to customers in the showroom
- Looking after the website: adding listings, updating prices, sorting out SEO
- Photographing trade-in and clearance gear, finding product images online
- Taking deliveries in and checking them
- Picking and packing orders, getting them ready for the couriers
- Stock takes
- Driving the company van when needed
- General warehouse work, including forklift duties (we'll train you)
What you need
- Valid UK Category B driving licence (the warehouse isn't on a bus route, and you'll be driving the van)
- Some experience dealing with customers, whether phone, email, or in person
- Comfortable with data entry and computer use
- Reasonably fit - some equipment can be heavy
- Reasonable numeracy
- A good eye for detail
Nice to have
- Retail or sales background
- Worked with an e-commerce platform before (any of them)
- Used eBay or Amazon at a business level
- Forklift experience
- Know your way around high-end audio/visual gear

Where You'll be splitting your time between the Asenby warehouse and the Colburn showroom (near Catterick Garrison) once it's up and running. You'll need a car to get to us, and will be driving our van between premises.
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
