Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Montessori Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. Duties
- Implement Montessori educational programmes tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 2-6 years.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining detailed records to inform future planning.
- Support children's social, emotional, and behavioural development through positive guidance and interaction.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that promote holistic development including cognitive, physical, and social skills.
- Assist with organising daily routines such as meal times, rest periods, and outdoor play.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Manage classroom resources efficiently and ensure the environment remains clean, organised, and conducive to learning.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding junior staff or trainees when required, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children within early childhood education or nursery settings.
- Strong management and organisational skills to oversee classroom activities effectively.
- Leadership qualities capable of motivating team members and supporting their professional development.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise confidently with colleagues and families.
- Knowledge of Montessori teaching principles and methods is highly desirable.
- Childcare qualifications or nursery experience that meet regulatory standards are essential.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach towards young children.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting resources or attending off-site activities.
