Chef Advert – RSYC
Royal Southampton Yacht Club, Gins Farm, Beaulieu, is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Chef to support our dining and events offering. Initially a part time role of 32 hours per week with potential of expanding to a full time position, with extra hours as and when required is ideal for a hands-on chef who enjoys creating fresh, high-quality dishes and brings new ideas to the menu.
We are looking for someone who can work efficiently under pressure, maintain high standards, and help deliver a welcoming experience for members and guests. If you take pride in your food and would like to help grow the catering offering within our well-established sailing club, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and delivering fresh, high-quality food for members and events
- Assisting with menu creation and introducing new ideas
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
- Supporting stock control and kitchen organisation
- Working closely with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a chef
- Strong organisational skills and a calm approach under pressure
- Confidence preparing fresh, well-presented dishes
- Positive attitude and reliable work ethic
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices
- Experience with menu planning and stock control
