Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Work alongside the Pub Manager in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and presentation standards are upheld
- Prepare high quality dishes in accordance with recipes and health & safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Collaborate with front of house staff to deliver excellent service and customer satisfaction
- Enforce food safety policies and procedures across the kitchen team
- Support during busy service periods, including serving when necessary, to ensure timely delivery of orders
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively within a fast paced setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on team development and motivation
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front of house staff
- Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences through innovative cuisine and attentive service
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
