At Universal Care Services, we're looking for a proactive and people-focused Regional Recruiter to support recruitment across our care and support services. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you'll play a key part in attracting, selecting and onboarding high-quality candidates who share our values and commitment to delivering outstanding care.
You'll work closely with Registered Managers and operational teams to understand workforce needs, fill vacancies quickly and effectively, and ensure every candidate receives a positive experience from application through to their first day.

- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for care and support vacancies across multiple services and locations
- Advertise vacancies and proactively source candidates through a range of recruitment channels
- Screen applications, conduct interviews and make hiring decisions for care-based roles
- Support managers with recruitment for office and management positions, coordinating advertising, candidate screening and interview activity
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future vacancies
- Complete safer recruitment and pre-employment checks including right to work, references, DBS and onboarding requirements
- Ensure recruitment activity remains compliant with company policies, legislation and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate recruitment records, candidate information and ATS data
- Monitor vacancies and recruitment activity across assigned services, providing updates and insights where required
- Represent the organisation at recruitment events, job fairs and community engagement activities
- Promote employee referral initiatives and other attraction strategies to support recruitment growth
- Work closely with branch teams to identify recruitment challenges and develop effective local attraction plans
- Deliver a positive candidate experience through timely communication and professional support throughout the recruitment journey
We're looking for someone who is organised, driven and confident managing recruitment activity across multiple vacancies at the same time. You'll be someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying talent and finding innovative ways to attract candidates in a competitive market.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or high-volume hiring
- Experience conducting interviews and making selection decisions
- Understanding of safer recruitment practices and employment checks
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience using ATS platforms, recruitment systems and job boards
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The confidence to work closely with managers and provide recruitment advice and support
- A proactive approach to sourcing, networking and building candidate pipelines
- Good attention to detail with a focus on compliance and record keeping
- Previous experience within health and social care recruitment would be advantageous
