Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes 5 mornings a week, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a fast-paced environment, delivering delightful breakfast experiences to our guests. The Breakfast Chef will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to a welcoming and efficient service.
We also require 2 evenings a week during dinner service, this can be discussed further during your trial.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection for breakfast offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout shifts
- Manage food stock levels, including ordering supplies when necessary
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold high standards
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently, including food safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a kitchen assistant within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods specific to breakfast dishes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Previous experience in a restaurant environment is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or flexible hours as required
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
