Quality Matron / Clinical Lead (RGN)

£53,755 - £55,000 per annum (or equivalent day rate on a FTC)
We are supporting in the recruitment of multiple roles for a Social Enterprise organisation working with 2 Nursing homes who are in partnership with the Local Authority.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving clinical quality, strengthening nursing practice, and supporting the homes in delivering sustainable improvements in line with CQC recommendations.
Both services are 60-bed Nursing Homes who require additional support.
Reporting into senior leadership, you will provide clinical oversight across both homes, working directly with the nursing teams to improve standards, embed best practice, and support ongoing service development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading quality improvement initiatives across both services
- Driving improvements in clinical governance, documentation, and care delivery
- Supporting the implementation of action plans aligned to CQC requirements and recommendations
- Working closely with Home Managers, senior leaders, and the Local Authority
- Monitoring clinical performance and identifying areas for improvement
- Supporting audits, quality assurance processes, and regulatory compliance
- Promoting a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement
- Building confidence within nursing teams and supporting positive change management
About You
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC PIN
- Previous experience as a Clinical Lead, Quality Matron, Deputy Manager, Home Manager, or Quality Improvement Lead within care services; Nursing / Residential
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, clinical governance, and quality frameworks
- Demonstrable experience supporting turnaround, improvement, or transformation projects within care homes
- Confident leading, mentoring, and developing nursing teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience working alongside external agencies and Local Authorities
