Apprentice - Trainee Operators
Liverpool L33 | Salary: In line with current Government Apprentice rates, dependent on age
This role is for a fixed term contract for the duration of the programme with a permanent role available upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.

We are a global masterbatch manufacturer and inventor of high-performance black and colour masterbatch solutions based in Liverpool. We have an exciting opportunity for Apprentice Trainee Operators to assist with the completion of tasks within the production area. This will include, in the early stages of your training, cleaning and packing products from the extrusion lines with supervision. As your training progresses you will become more involved in complex training requirements including optimisation of manufacturing processes. During your time as an apprentice, you will develop the necessary skills to gain promotion to an operator’s position on completion of the 2-year program.
Requirements: The successful candidate will:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manually packing product from extrusion lines
- Loading finished goods onto pallet with 25KG bags.
- Regular process audits and clean downs.
- Working as part of a team, assisting others in carrying out their duties within the production area.
- Ensuring that a safe working environment and our industry standards are always maintained.
- Demonstrate ‘right first-time ethos’.
- Must have acceptable levels of knowledge for the job including departmental procedures.
- Able to demonstrate reliability in performing tasks accurately and within the allotted timescales.
- Able to demonstrate reliability to conduct their job within the company’s work rules.
- To demonstrate the acceptance, understanding and promotion of the company’s policies and procedures in the area of your job responsibilities.
- Demonstrate the ability and interest to suggest and develop sound new ideas and methods.
- To share ideas through appropriate written and oral communication.
Qualifications:
- Secondary Education Qualifications, minimum grade C; Maths, English, Science.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Compliance with H&S and Environment procedures.
- Report any production issues to the shift manager and / or the Lead Operator.
- Participate in Process Improvement Initiatives.
- Excellent attitude to towards work, colleagues and managers.
- Problem solving skills.
