Finance Assistant

Location: Solihull
Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm, 37.50 hours per week

The Role
You will accurately post purchase invoices to Sage 50 and Construction Manager Cloud
Carry out month end reconciliation of supplier statements and chase missing purchase invoices and credit notes
Raise sales ledger invoices and distribute to our clients as well as dealing with sales invoice queries and raising copy invoices when required
Processing monthly expenses, ensuring claimants adhere to the company expense policy
Maintain the purchase invoice query log and chase departments to resolve all queries
Complete the daily bank reconciliation and post to the Sage 50 finance system
Liaising with internal departments, resolving queries in a timely manner
Daily opening and distribution of incoming post
Any other finance tasks as required
Key Requirements (Essential)
- Experience working in a finance department for an SME
- Being able to demonstrate good transactional knowledge both on purchase ledger and sales ledger
- Having a keen eye for detail being a completer finisher with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Manufacturing and or Construction sector experience
Qualities and Skills
- Must be competent using Sage 50
- Purchase and sales ledger experience (minimum 5 years)
- Accomplished communication skills (written & spoken)
- Good level of IT skills
- Self-Motivated & can-do attitude
- Methodical and organised
- An eye for detail
- Good level of numeric skills
- An excellent telephone manner
- Good time management
- Excellent house keeping
Desirable Qualities
- AAT level 3 or above
- Competent in the use of Sage 50 & Construction Manager Cloud
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) to Intermediate level

Salary
Salary dependant on experience, however you can expect to earn between £27,000.00 and £30,000.00 per annum
Thirty-two days (full time equivalent) holiday (including bank and public holidays)
