Froth and Mallow, a specialty coffee and dessert bar; located near Wood Green, Turnpike Lane, Hornsey, and Alexandra Palace Stations.
This job will only be offered to a candidate who can demonstrate they are located within 30mins travel time to N8 0FR
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, 'adhering to our Company standards and Company recipes.'
- Be keen to learn our recipes and menu.
- Ensure food safety standards are maintained at all times during food preparation and service.
- Serve customers efficiently with friendly and professional demeanour.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including counters, equipment, and dining space.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when required, following health and safety guidelines.
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers during busy periods without compromising quality or service speed.
Experience
- Recent coffee barista experience of one year is essential; consistently able to produce the correct milk texture for each hot coffee drink.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks efficiently during shifts.
Shift pattern:
The morning shift requires working ' primarily on your own;' therefore, having sound prior knowledge of espresso based drinks is paramount.In addition to coffee service, the role involves arranging the cake and pastry display and completing food prep duties. There will be opportunities for you to be shown our specific brand standards for food preparation and the morning setup process.
- Weekday Schedule approx: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 11 AM.
The hourly rate for this position will be determined based on 'your experience and will align with UK government guidelines regarding age-related pay.'
