Experienced Hotel Receptionist
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Live-in accommodation available
Full-time position – weekend availability is essential
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hotel Receptionist to join the team at Froyle Park, an established country-house wedding venue with extensive onsite guest accommodation.
We are looking for a warm, professional and highly organised individual who takes pride in delivering excellent guest service. You will be one of the first points of contact for our guests and will play an important role in ensuring their experience is welcoming, efficient and memorable.
Key responsibilities
- Welcoming guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner
- Managing guest check-ins and check-outs
- Responding to telephone, email and in-person enquiries
- Managing accommodation reservations and booking systems
- Providing guests with information about their accommodation and the venue
- Keeping reception and guest-facing areas clean, organised and presentable
- Maintaining accurate guest records and completing general reception administration
- Responding to guest questions and resolving issues calmly and professionally
- Liaising closely with the events, operations, housekeeping and maintenance teams
- Supporting weddings and events when required
- Completing clear handovers between shifts
- Working confidently and responsibly without direct supervision when necessary
Experience and skills required
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a hotel reception or similar hospitality role
- Experience using hotel booking or property-management systems
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional and well-presented front-of-house manner
- A naturally warm, welcoming and helpful approach
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy environment
- A hands-on approach and positive, can-do attitude
- Confidence working independently and using initiative
- Flexibility to work weekends as part of the normal rota
