Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bendi Driver and Material Handler in Leicester. This role involves operating Bendi trucks, managing materials, and supporting efficient warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in warehouse environments, experience operating a bendi truck and the ability to handle heavy loads safely.
Hours: 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm weekly rotational Monday to Friday
Pay rate: £13-£14 per hour plus £10 per day shift allowance
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Bendi forklift to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
- Manage inventory by accurately loading and unloading goods using warehouse management systems
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation in designated areas
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and verification of goods
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency
- Support warehouse organisation through effective stacking and storage of materials
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and maintain a clean, safe work environment
Requirements
- Valid forklift licence with proven experience operating Bendi forklifts or similar equipment
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable
- Strong materials handling skills, including heavy lifting and precise placement of goods
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a safe manner, including lifting heavy loads
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
