Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Manager specializing in Food Commodities to lead our sourcing and purchasing initiatives. Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies for food commodities, aligning with company goals and market trends.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to streamline purchasing activities.
- Collaborate closely with logistics and supply chain teams to coordinate delivery schedules, inventory levels, and transportation logistics.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
- Monitor market conditions and commodity prices to inform purchasing decisions and mitigate risks.
- Maintain detailed records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance for reporting and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement management within the food commodities sector or related industries.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or other enterprise resource planning platforms.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms with suppliers.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and commodity trading practices.
- Ability to analyze market data and forecast trends impacting food commodity prices.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement across departments and suppliers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
