Minibus Driver
Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract Type: Term Time Only plus adhoc driving duties
Location: Ossett/Wakefield/Castleford
We are currently seeking a self employed, reliable and flexible Minibus Driver to join our team based in Ossett as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible work with varying hours to suit service demand. This role is predominately to provide school transport within West Yorkshire. This is a split shift role covering core hours to and from school 7am- 10am and 2-5pm
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a school minibus safely and responsibly
- Transporting passengers for:
- School journeys
- Airport transfers
- Group travel and pre-booked trips
- Ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of all passengers at all times
- Carrying out basic vehicle checks before and after journeys
- Adhering to all road traffic laws, company policies, and safeguarding procedures
- Representing the organisation in a professional and courteous manner
Essential Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- CPC & DQC required
- Category D1 entitlement (not 101 restriction)
- Proven experience driving a minibus
- Hold an Enhanced DBS
- Relevant minibus driver training
- Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
- Strong understanding of passenger safety and duty of care
Additional Requirements
- References will be required, including your most recent employer Enhanced DBS certificate
- A professional, friendly, and patient manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically able to assist passengers when required (e.g. boarding support)
