Due to increase in workload WMS are seeking to appoint an Electrician to cover Exeter and the surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Carrying out reactive repairs to lighting circuits, sockets, fuse boards and other electrical systems.
- Inspecting and testing electrical installations to ensure safety and compliance with current regulations.
- Replacing or repairing faulty components, including switches, sockets, light fittings and circuit breakers.
- Working independently or as part of a team to meet daily repair targets.
- Communicating clearly with tenants and residents regarding repairs and expected outcomes.
- Ensuring work areas are left clean, safe and tidy on completion of all work.
- Adhering to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Providing a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Responding to emergency call-outs, including out-of-hours work where required.
- Undertaking the installation, servicing, repair and maintenance of a wide range of domestic electrical systems and properties.
- Using relevant IT systems to manage and prioritise workloads, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations, including AM2.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification (applications from candidates with the 17th Edition who are willing to complete the 18th Edition will also be considered).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
Desirable
- Previous experience within domestic maintenance and/or social housing.
- Inspection and Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent 2394/2395).
- Knowledge of the housing maintenance or construction sector.
