Located in a residential area of Robroyston, Glasgow, Little Sisters of the Poor provide nursing and residential care. We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join us on a part time permanent basis.

DUTIES:
Duties in the kitchen and surrounding areas will include:
Cleaning duties in the kitchen such as:
- Washing pots, pans, cleaning hot trolleys.
- Washing any dirty dishes etc.
- Washing and buffing the floors.
- General cleaning duties in the kitchen.
- Following the hygiene and safety rules in the kitchen.
- Preparation of vegetable and cleaning vegetable room.
- Helping with simple preparation of food.
- Filling dishes and trolleys.
- Cleaning of different rooms around the kitchen area.
- Other duties may be reasonably asked in fulfilling this post.
- This list is intended to give an overview of the general duties required in the position of Kitchen Assistant, is not exhaustive and you may be required to undertake other duties as requested by your line manager from time to time.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must provide 2 satisfactory employment references
- Must undergo a PVG check from Disclosure Scotland
- Flexibility around days and hours worked (please note: Weekend working is a requirement of the role.)
DESIRED:
- Flexibility to cover holidays and other absence
- 1 Year - Kitchen Assistant experience
- Food Hygiene Certificate (Valid)
Due to the location of the Home and hours worked, a driving licence and access to own transport would be advisable.

REMUNERATION
£10.62 per hour
HOURS
26.25 average per week
Week 1: 5 days;
Week 2: 4 days.
The kitchen operates between the hours of 7:00am and 7:30pm and flexibility to cover shifts within these hours is a requirement of the role.
