About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Barristers’ Fees & Diary Clerk to join our busy and professional team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in the legal sector to play a key role in supporting barristers with diary management and fee administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking the duties of credit control e.g. ensuring fees are paid promptly
- Preparing and issuing fee notes and monitoring payments
- Maintaining accurate financial records and case details
- Assisting with general clerking duties and providing administrative support
- Managing barristers’ diaries, including scheduling hearings, conferences, and meetings
- Liaising with solicitors, courts, and clients to coordinate bookings and availability
- Negotiating and agreeing fees with instructing solicitors
About You
Previous experience in a credit control is essential plus
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to build professional relationships
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
- A proactive and team-oriented approach
