Warehouse Operatives Wanted!
Location: Newry
We are currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives/ Order Picker on behalf of a leading wholesale distribution business based in Newry.
With multiple opportunities available across both Mid day Shift and Night Shift, this is an excellent opportunity to join a busy warehouse operation that plays a key role in ensuring products are received, stored and dispatched efficiently to customers across the region.
Working within a fast-paced wholesale environment, successful candidates will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring customer orders are prepared to a high standard.
Shift Times:
- Mid Shift: Monday–Thursday ( 2:30pm – 11:15pm), Friday (2:30pm – 9:15pm)
- Night Shift: Sunday (9:00pm – 4:30am), Monday–Thursday (9:00pm – 5:30am)
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders.
- Assist with the movement and organisation of stock throughout the warehouse.
- Prepare goods for dispatch in line with operational requirements.
- Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Maintain high levels of stock accuracy and warehouse organisation.
- Carry out quality checks where required.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, tidy and safe.
- Adhere to all company health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily operational targets.
- Undertake general warehouse duties as required.
- Use correct manual handling techniques to prevent stock damage.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills.
- Flexible approach to work.
- Ability to undertake manual handling duties.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in wholesale, distribution or logistics environments.
- Experience with order picking and goods dispatch.
- Experience using warehouse scanning equipment or warehouse management systems.
