Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our client on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. This role involves supporting various warehouse functions, including materials handling, stock management, and goods in activities. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse facilities, maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Operate PPT trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Manage stock levels
- Handle materials for storage, movement, and distribution within the facility
- Perform picking and packing tasks accurately to fulfil orders
- Load and unload lorries, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Conduct stock replenishment and organise storage areas for optimal accessibility
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to minimise risks
Experience
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred
- Familiarity with PPT operation and certification is advantageous
- Experience in materials handling, stock control, or logistics roles will be beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team during shift rotations
