About the Role
We are seeking a fully qualified Level 2 Swimming Teacher to deliver exceptional, high-quality instruction to swimmers of all ages, with particular emphasis on parent & baby and toddler classes. The successful candidate will already hold this qualification and demonstrate a genuine commitment to nurturing confidence and ability in the water.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and structured swimming lessons for both children and adults, with a strong focus on safety, progression, and skill development in accordance with our lesson plans.
- Lead parent & baby and toddler sessions, employing age-appropriate teaching methods and resources.
- Monitor and assess swimmers’ progress, providing constructive and encouraging feedback to parents and carers.
- Uphold the highest standards of poolside safety at all times, in strict accordance with facility procedures.
- Foster a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all participants.
Requirements
- Recognised Level 2 Swimming Teaching Qualification (essential).
- Parent & Baby / Toddler teaching certification (highly desirable).
- Excellent communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner.
- Demonstrable commitment to safeguarding and ongoing professional development.
- Flexibility to work weekday afternoons and evenings, Monday through Saturday.
- Current Enhanced DBS check.
- Valid NPLQ, NRASTC, or STA Safety Award certification.
- Safeguarding Children Certificate.
- Personal professional insurance, as this is a self-employed position.
