About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our busy team. This is a varied role that combines both Front of House (FOH) customer service and Back of House (BOH) kitchen support.
You'll be responsible for providing excellent customer service while helping prepare and serve fresh food in a fast-paced café environment.
Key Responsibilities
Front of House
- Welcome customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Take food and drink orders and process payments using the till.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks.
- Serve food efficiently and maintain excellent customer service.
- Keep customer areas clean, tidy and well stocked.
- Replenish displays and monitor stock levels.
Back of House
- Assist with the preparation of sandwiches, salads, light meals and other menu items.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented to a high standard.
- Assist with the washing of crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
- Assist with deliveries, stock rotation and storage.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a positive, can-do attitude.
- Enjoys working with people and as part of a team.
- Can work in a busy environment while maintaining high standards.
- Is flexible and willing to work both front and back of house.
- Has previous catering or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential as full training will be provided).
- Holds a Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable but not essential).
