Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cable Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in using both hand and power tools. This role is essential in ensuring that our products are assembled accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our operations
Duties
- Crimping - perform crimping operations in line with IPC standards
- Soldering - create high quality solder joints using a number of techniques for both wire to wire and wire to device
- Cutting & Stripping Cable - prepare cable for assembly using automated equipment and manual methods
- Interpret complex mechanical drawings & schematics
- Assemble components and parts according to specifications and drawings.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency.
- Report any issues or discrepancies in materials or assembly procedures to the supervisor.
Experience
- Previous experience in cable assembly is essential
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and crimp presses safely.
- A high level of skill in soldering is desirable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
