Role Overview
Provide support to the Legal Services Team, primarily assisting with housing disrepair litigation matters. The role involves undertaking routine legal work under supervision, supporting more complex cases, and contributing to the effective delivery of legal services.
Key Responsibilities

Support in-house legal counsel with casework and legal research.

Manage files, deadlines, documents, matters, fees and disbursements.

Prepare legal documents and maintain accurate case management records.

Build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders, attending meetings as required.

Contribute to service improvements, legal updates and professional development.

Undertake any other duties reasonably required within the scope of the role.

Assist with litigation matters, primarily housing disrepair cases, under supervision.

Liaise with courts and tribunals, managing directions, deadlines and filings.

Prepare bundles, correspondence, evidence and other legal documents.

Attend hearings to support solicitors or counsel and undertake advocacy where permitted.

Deliver excellent client care and maintain effective case management throughout proceedings.
About you

GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade A*–C)

Completed LPC/BVC/CILEx Level 3 (Associate) or equivalent

Previous housing disrepair experience is essential.

Experience providing legal administrative support.

Ability to manage a caseload, prioritise work and meet deadlines.

Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Adobe.

Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
