We're looking for a Bar Supervisor to join the team at Bath Arms- a proper pub in the heart of the Lanes.
Known for great beer, a strong food offering, and genuine hospitality, we're focused on maintaining a great atmosphere and delivering consistently excellent service. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, leads by example, and knows when to step things up during busy services.
The Role
As a Bar Supervisor, you'll play a key part in the day-to-day operation of the pub, ensuring high standards of service, presentation, and atmosphere throughout every shift.
You'll be trusted to work independently when required and take responsibility for the smooth running of the venue, including guest welfare and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service and guest experiences.
- Maintain high standards of pub presentation and atmosphere.
- Supervise and support the team during service.
- Confidently manage solo shifts when required.
- Take responsibility for venue security and guest welfare.
- Manage cash handling, cash-ups, and end-of-day reporting.
- Assist with stock control and cellar management.
- Support the wider management team in achieving operational standards and commercial targets.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospitality environment (pub, bar, or restaurant).
- Strong understanding of service standards and guest experience.
- Cellar knowledge and confidence handling draught products.
- Basic cocktail-making skills.
- Experience with cash handling, cash-ups, and reporting.
- Ability to work using initiative and make sound decisions independently.
- Calm under pressure and able to adapt quickly during busy periods.
Desirable
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Knowledge of cask ales and beer quality standards.
- Personal licence holder (or willingness to obtain one).
