Working alongside our Head Chef, you'll play a key role in leading the kitchen team, maintaining our high standards and bringing fresh ideas to the menu. What You'll Be Doing
As Sous Chef, you'll be an integral part of the kitchen operation, helping to ensure every service runs smoothly and every dish leaves the kitchen to the highest standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day management of the kitchen.
- Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality dishes with consistency and attention to detail.
- Assisting in developing seasonal menus, daily specials and new recipes.
- Leading and supervising the kitchen team during service.
- Coaching and supporting junior staff, helping them develop their skills and confidence.
- Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, health & safety and HACCP compliance.
- Managing stock levels, assisting with ordering and helping to minimise waste.
- Ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience through consistently high-quality food.
About You
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about great food.
You'll enjoy working as part of a close-knit team, thrive in a fast-paced kitchen and take pride in producing food to the highest standards.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in a similar Sous Chef or senior kitchen role.
- Excellent knowledge of fresh food preparation and all kitchen sections.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- A positive attitude with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
- A thorough understanding of food hygiene, COSHH and health & safety legislation.
- Experience using professional kitchen equipment safely and confidently.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team ethic.
- A willingness to learn, develop and contribute new ideas.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure while delivering consistently high standards.
