Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5-ton truck to deliver goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimize time and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate delivery schedules and updates
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs and delivery confirmation records
- Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries
Requirements
- Valid driving license with appropriate endorsements for operating a 7.5-ton vehicle
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with delivery routes and flatbed transportation preferred
- Strong understanding of driving safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
- Delivery driver experience with a focus on punctuality, reliability, and customer satisfaction
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo and securing loads on flatbeds
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with route planning tools
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
