Rate: £12.71 per hour
About the Role:
We’re looking for a confident, skilled barista to join our catering team at the Great Yorkshire Show this July. It’s one of the busiest shows of the season, so you must be able to work efficiently under pressure, serve quickly, and maintain high-quality coffee standards – even with a queue of customers watching!
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and hot drinks to order
- Operate an espresso machine with speed, accuracy, and consistency
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Keep the coffee station clean, stocked, and organised throughout the day
- Work closely with the rest of the catering team during busy periods
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year barista experience in a fast-paced environment
- Confident using commercial espresso machines and grinders
- Comfortable working under pressure and handling long queues
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Punctual, reliable, and a team player
- Must be available for the full duration of the show
