Construction Manager - Healthcare Projects- Full-Time, Permanent – Central London/Hybrid. Competitive Salary plus benefits, including bi-annual Bonuses.
This isn’t a Project Manager role - If you're looking for a position where you spend your days updating trackers, chairing meetings, and chasing actions, this probably isn't for you. We are looking someone who can combine engineering thinking, construction expertise, commercial awareness and leadership skills to make complex healthcare projects successful.
At CFES Ltd, we deliver complex healthcare environments, where success depends on much more than programme management. We need someone who understands how buildings actually come together, someone who can walk into a design review, step onto a live construction site, sit with a client, challenge a contractor, review commercial implications and help the team find a solution when nobody else has one.
We're looking for a Construction Manager who isn't afraid to wear multiple hats and enjoys being at the centre of the action.
About us
We're not a business that sits back and watches projects happen. We get involved. We challenge. We solve problems.
We bring together clients, consultants, contractors and delivery teams to create healthcare environments that genuinely work.
Our best people are curious, entrepreneurial, technically capable and willing to step outside traditional role boundaries to get the job done.
If that sounds like you, we'd like to talk.
About the role
One moment you could be reviewing technical design issues for a hospital refurbishment. The next you could be:
- Leading construction delivery across multiple healthcare projects.
- Working with consultants and contractors to find practical solutions.
- Managing client expectations and building trusted relationships.
- Reviewing commercial impacts and identifying opportunities.
- Helping acquire and assess project opportunities and assets.
- Challenging designs to improve buildability and project outcomes.
- Coordinating stakeholders across design, construction and operational teams.
- Leading programme recovery when projects face challenges.
- Supporting project teams and motivating people to deliver their best work.
- Making decisions that balance programme, cost, quality and risk.
Most importantly, when a design team says it's a construction issue and the construction team says it's a design issue, you'll be the person who gets it resolved.

- Can challenge designs and improve project outcomes
- Build credibility with clients and project teams
- Stay calm when projects become complex
- Make decisions rather than waiting for others to make them
