Job Overview
Direct MX is looking for an ambitious, commercially minded E-Moto Sales & Shop Manager to take day-to-day ownership of our shop and sales operation.
This is not a standard retail assistant role. We need someone who can run the shop, manage customer enquiries, close sales, assess part exchanges, protect profit margins, maintain high standards and take responsibility without needing to be constantly supervised.
You will be trusted with valuable bikes, customer payments, keys, stock, paperwork and important commercial decisions. We are therefore looking for someone who is responsible, switched on, trustworthy and capable of using their own initiative.
You will also become one of the main faces of Direct MX in social media videos, bike walkarounds, product shoots and customer handovers. You will not be responsible for managing the entire content-production process, but you must be comfortable speaking on camera and representing the business professionally.
Direct MX is a growing company with a small-team, big-opportunity approach. The successful candidate will receive a competitive base salary alongside generous, uncapped commission. The more value you create and the more profitable bikes you sell, the more you can earn.
There is genuine potential to progress into a more senior management position and build or manage a larger team as the business grows.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales and Customer Service
- Take ownership of all shop-based, telephone, email, website and social media sales enquiries.
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide knowledgeable, honest advice.

- Handle customer complaints calmly, fairly and responsibly.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, conversations, quotations and sales.

- Complete the appropriate vehicle, ownership and finance-history checks.
- Create accurate descriptions and listings for used bikes.
- Monitor used-bike stock and identify bikes that are becoming slow-moving.
Shop Management
- Take day-to-day responsibility for the successful running of the Direct MX shop.

- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve the customer experience.
- Recommend promotions or pricing changes for slow-moving stock.
- Provide clear updates on leads, sales, customers, stock and any issues requiring attention.
- Work within agreed authority limits for discounts, part-exchange offers, refunds and expenditure.
- Know when to make a decision independently and when approval is required.
- Regularly suggest practical improvements to the shop, sales process and wider business.
Social Media and Brand Representation
- Be one of the regular faces of Direct MX in company content.
- Appear in product videos, bike walkarounds, comparisons, shoots and customer handovers.
- Speak naturally and enthusiastically about motorcycles and electric bikes.
