About the role
Platinum Asset Protection Ltd is recruiting two Mobile Preventative Maintenance Engineers to join a dedicated field team delivering a structured maintenance programme across a major national client estate.
Working alongside a Mobile Preventative Maintenance Supervisor, you will travel to sites throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to complete routine maintenance activities.
This is a practical, hands-on position. Specialist CCTV engineering experience is not essential because full training will be provided. Any faults requiring technical diagnosis or repair will be referred to the company’s qualified engineering team.
Main responsibilities
- Travel to client sites as part of a two-person maintenance team.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance visits.
- Clean CCTV cameras, housings and associated equipment.
- Apply anti-spider treatments.
- Check camera views, housings and general equipment condition.
- Test speaker functionality.
- Check warning signage for condition, position and legibility.
- Check power supplies, cables and equipment connections.
- Tidy accessible cabling where required.
- Clear light foliage from around cameras and equipment.
- Complete basic plug-and-play equipment swaps.
- Use basic hand and power tools safely.
- Record faults, damage and outstanding work.
- Complete accurate maintenance checklists and visit reports.
- Maintain tools, equipment and consumable stock.
- Help keep the company vehicle clean, secure and properly organised.
- Follow site rules, safe working procedures and instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Represent Platinum Asset Protection professionally on client sites.
About you
We are looking for practical and dependable individuals who are comfortable travelling and working away from home.
You will need:
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, property services, installation work or another practical field-based role.
- Confidence using basic hand and power tools.
- Good attention to detail.
- The ability to follow checklists and structured work instructions.
- Basic confidence using smartphones, tablets or electronic reporting systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A full clean UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel nationally and stay away from home.
- The ability to complete physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- A professional and reliable approach when working on client premises.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
Previous CCTV, electrical, cabling or security-system experience would be helpful but is not essential.
Working arrangements
The role is based from our premises in Morley, Leeds.
Some maintenance routes will be completed through daily travel from Morley. Longer regional routes will involve consecutive overnight stays, including travel to Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, London and the South West.
Candidates must be comfortable with regular national travel and extended periods working away from home.
